  • Antibacterial;
  • Antiallergic;
  • Antifungal;
  • Antiseptic.

As you can see, sage can cope with almost any scalp disease. Of course, if the disease has become too progressed, then you should immediately consult a doctor and in this case it is more logical to use sage for hair as an aid.

Hair sage: contraindications

Despite the fact that the use of sage gives your hair a special beauty, not everyone can use it. For example, in no case should this remedy be used by those who have problems with the thyroid gland. It is also contraindicated for inflammation of the kidneys. You should also not abuse sage even if low blood pressure is normal for you.

It is also worth mentioning the use of sage by pregnant women. Of course, it does not particularly harm a woman's body, in some cases it is even useful. But before using it, be sure to consult your doctor.

Well, and when women definitely should not use such a tool, it is during breastfeeding. The fact is that sage reduces the amount of milk, which means that a moment may come when you simply will not have anything to feed your baby.

Applying sage essential oil for hair

The presence of a small amount in cosmeticsThe quality of sage essential oil has a beneficial effect on our curls. Thanks to its antiseptic effect, you can get rid of problems such as dandruff, seborrhea and other skin diseases.

And again, if the disease progresses, you should not hope that sage will be able to cope with any stage of inflammation. Unfortunately, this tool is not a panacea, so you have to use medication if needed.

One of the easiest ways to use this essential oil is to add it to your shampoo. Attention! Don't pour the entire bottle into the shampoo jar. Squeezing a little shampoo onto your hand and adding a few drops of oil to it is enough.

Sage hair oil can also be used to prepare masks. To prepare such a product, you need to mix three tablespoons of jojoba oil with two to three drops of sage and rosemary essential oils.

Apply the resulting mixture along the entire length of the hair, remembering to rub a small amount into the roots. Attention! You need to rub in very carefully, since too strong mechanical effect on the scalp can cause hair loss. And we don't need this at all!

So, back to our mask. After application, twist the hair with a plastic bag and leave for forty minutes. After that, carefully wash off the product from the curls with warm water. That's the whole mask!

Applying sage decoction to hair

A decoction of sage herb is used to stimulate hair growth. If you want to grow your hair out quickly, take two tablespoons of sage leaves and pour 500 ml of boiling water over them. Let the broth sit for about half an hour, then rinse your head with it.

You can also make sage tea with a few drops of apple cider vinegar. But such a tool is not intended to restore the health of curls, but to remove professional styling products.

And, by the way, it is often not recommended to use such a remedy, since the effect of vinegar on hair cannot be called positive, rather the opposite - with prolonged use it can significantly spoil your appearance.

Rinsing hair with sage is very beneficial. First, the work of the sebaceous glands is normalized. And this is a real gift for those who suffer from too oily curls. Secondly, every hair is cleared of various impurities. This means that the harm from various external influences on the curls will be minimized.

How to dye your hair with sage

Dyeing curls using storefunds in any case negatively affects the structure of each hair. And this means that the hair becomes dull, a healthy shine is lost. And what pleasure will you get from the change of image then? That's right, no!

That is why we recommend that you use natural dyes, because this way you can not only change the color of your curls, but also strengthen each hair. And this is expensive. One of these natural dyes can be sage.

The only drawback is that coloring is only possible in a darker shade. Therefore, if you want to be blonde, this option is not for you.

In order to color your head with sage, you need a liter of water and a glass of dried sage leaves. The coloring procedure is as follows: you need to pour water into a large saucepan and bring it to a boil.

Then, pour dry leaves into boiling water and simmer them for about forty minutes. How to understand that it's time to remove the saucepan from the heat? Very simple - the water color should be dark.

Pour the resulting broth into a bowl and let it cool slightly. Then, lean over the broth and start applying it to your curls. In one session, you need to rinse your hair with a similar decoction thirty forty times.

If you don't like sage scent, apply a small amount of lavender oil to the entire length of your hair before the last rinse. This will not only neutralize unpleasant odors, but also nourish the roots.

Of course, you won't be able to achieve a very dark shade the first time. But if you repeat this procedure systematically, the result will not be long in coming.

As you can see, sage is an amazing way to care for our hair. And whether it's a rinse or a mask, you can still heal your hair, leaving it shiny, soft and silky.

Most importantly, remember that self-care must be constant, otherwise there will be no result. Good luck!
