Bio-Decontamination with Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2)

Hydrogen peroxide treatment: indications and contraindications

Specialists in the treatment of hydrogen peroxide say that there are no specific contraindications for the use of this substance. Only individual intolerance is taken into account. They believe that this type of treatment can be used practically for any pathology. Their claim is supported by clinical practice and scientific research.

At the same time, the amazing effect on the body is justified - hydrogen peroxide is involved in the regulation of all metabolic processes (hormonal, immune, respiratory, etc.).

What is treated with peroxide?

Diseases that can be treated in this way:

Hydrogen peroxide treatment: indications and contraindications
  • Infections: sore throat, SARS, flu, tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc .;
  • ENT organs: acute and chronic pharyngitis, rhinitis, purulent infections in the frontal and paranasal sinuses, external and otitis media, including purulent;
  • Neurological disorders: osteochondrosis, multiple sclerosis;
  • From the side of the cardiovascular system: coronary artery disease, stroke, varicose legs;
  • Chronic lesions of the respiratory system: emphysema, cancer, bronchiectasis;
  • Metabolic disorders: diabetes mellitus, systemic lupus erythematosus, immunodeficiencies of various etiologies;
  • Skin disorders: eczema, cancer, fungal infections;
  • In dentistry: caries, gingivitis, periodontal disease, periodontitis, other gum diseases.

Outdoor use

Treatment of throat diseases with hydrogen peroxide involves gargling. Only perhydrol can be used or its mixture with a slightly pink solution of potassium permanganate. This combination is suitable for eliminating rhinitis and sinusitis, but a 1% solution is used. The ingredients are mixed (10 ml each) and the nose is washed with the resulting product three times a day.

Of course, this remedy is used for capillary bleeding (abrasions, cuts).

Treatment of the gums and the entire oral cavity with hydrogen peroxide has been popular for a long time. Apply to the affected area withmoistened swabs or rinse with a 3% solution. For periodontal disease and other pathologies, rubbing the mixture with soda is recommended.

For this, the ingredients are mixed to a pasty mass. The procedure is done twice a day. In addition, rinsing can help whiten teeth and eliminate bad breath. Also, treatment with baking soda and peroxide is recommended for sore throats.

Warts and fungal infections can be eliminated using lotions. This will require a 6-15% solution. After 8-10 procedures, the result is visible.

High concentration solutions are not used for compresses, as they can provoke burns. 0.5-1% is allowed. Compresses are used for patients with arthritis, as well as for traumatic pain in the joints. The duration of the procedure should not exceed 2 hours.

Treatment of ear inflammation with hydrogen peroxide consists in the use of 0.5-3% solutions. This helps remove pus and kills the pathogenic bacteria. With simple otitis media, it is better to introduce moistened tampons, and with complicated otitis media, it is better to bury it. During an exacerbation of a chronic ear disease, 5-6 drops are injected into the ear canal a couple of times a day.

High concentrations can be used to burn out tumors close to the skin surface.

Internal Application

It should be noted that official medicine does not recognize treatment in this way. This applies to both diabetes and other diseases. The only officially recognized method is external use for washing wounds.

Specific methods of treatment with a peroxide solution are described by only a few specialists, for example, by the domestic professor I.P. Neumyvakin. He, like other adherents of this type of therapy, advises to strictly adhere to the established dosages.

Treatment begins with taking 1 drop of solution (3%) mixed with 30-50 ml of water. Use the remedy on an empty stomach, half an hour before a meal or 2 hours after it, up to 3 times a day. If there are no side effects, every day the dose is increased by a drop, gradually increasing to 10 at a time. This is followed by a pause for 2-3 days. Then take 10 drops according to the following plan: 2-3 days of use, 2-4 days off.

Contraindications, precautions during treatment with hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide treatment: indications and contraindications

As already mentioned, a substance in strong concentration can cause burns. It is especially dangerous if it gets into the eyes. In such a situation, rinse the affected area under running water.

There is no information about this method of treatment during pregnancy, so it is better to refrain from this option at this time. In addition, it is not recommended for persons with transplanted (transplanted) organs, as complications associated with tissue incompatibility may occur.

With intravenous administration of the drug, it is quite possible to develop phlebitis - inflammation of the vein mucosa. In the symptomwe diseases include pain in the affected area, induration, redness. Phlebitis itself is practically not dangerous, but its complications include abscess and thrombosis. When administered intravenously, there is a risk of overdose or gas embolism. That is why adherents of peroxide treatment recommend droppers.

There is also such an option as treatment with enemas. In this case, damage to the intestinal mucosa, its expression and the development of ulcerative colitis may occur. With the primary lesion, diarrhea occurs with an admixture of blood, pain in the large intestine of an antispasmodic nature.

Another side effect of this method of therapy is a sharp rise in temperature. Although experts explain this by the fact that as a result of peroxide entering the bloodstream, it kills pathogenic microorganisms, their toxins are released, which act in a similar way on the body.

Treatment of stomach and other internal organs with hydrogen peroxide

Many diseases involve ingestion of this substance. However, many are worried about the irritating effect on the stomach lining. For many, this therapy causes heaviness in the abdomen, diarrhea, throbbing pains in the stomach and colon.

Possible side reactions: nausea, drowsiness, severe fatigue, skin rashes, runny nose, cough, upset stools. These phenomena are due to the increased number of toxins after the administration of perhydrol, which enter the bloodstream from the destroyed bodies of bacteria.

When hydrogen peroxide comes in contact with streptococcus or a virus, atomic oxygen is released, oxidizing and killing the microbe. When this process takes place in the intestines, minor discomfort occurs.

Treatment of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus with hydrogen peroxide

The breakdown of perhydrol into atomic oxygen and water stimulates the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, promotes the synthesis of vitamins and minerals, the process of transporting sugar from plasma to tissues, that is, it functions as insulin in diabetes.

Hydrogen peroxide treatment of female (gynecological) diseases

Hydrogen peroxide treatment: indications and contraindications

In gynecology, a 3% solution is used for douching. Some ladies abuse this method of treatment, which only aggravates the course of the disease.

As you know, the mucus produced in the vagina removes harmful substances, that is, cleanses the body. Normally, the vagina is acidic, and the microflora consists of lactobateria (Doderlein sticks).

It is they who are engaged in the production of perhydrol and create an acidic environment - the flora, where pathogenic organisms die. When the pH of the vagina changes towards an alkaline environment, dysbacteriosis occurs, conditionally pathogenic microflora is activated, which leads to the development of female diseases.

You can restore a normal environment in the vagina with the help of suitable medications and douching with a 3% solution. The duration of the procedure is no more than a quarterhours. Treatment of diseases begins with douching twice a day.

When the condition improves, the event is held every other day, and then only twice a week. Usually 10 procedures are enough for a complete recovery.

Don't self-medicate! Any treatment must be supervised by a specialist!
