First recipe: hawthorn jam in syrup

Hawthorn jam

Ingredients:

  • kilogram of berries;
  • kilogram of sugar;
  • 300 ml water;
  • vanillin to taste;
  • half a spoonful of citric acid.

We sort out the berries, wash them, clean them of seeds and stalks. We put them in an enamel pot. Boiled sugar syrup from water and sugar, pour the berries.

Method 1 . We insist eight hours. Add acid, vanillin, cook until thick over low heat. Remember, when the jam cools, it gets thicker.

Ingredients:

  • kilogram of sugar.
